A ponte foi construida en 1912, sendo unha das primeiras construcci\u00f3ns\u00a0en formig\u00f3n na\u00a0Coru\u00f1a. As nais sub\u00edan \u00f3s rapaces para que inhalaran os vapores das m\u00e1quinas do tren xa que pensaban que evitaba enfermidades como a tosferina.
